Dont forget GOD! An appropriate title to say the least considering the state of our Land .

" How can we forget GOD, when our beloved nation was founded on principles laid down in the word of GOD, the Bible! In the Bible we are exhorted to "forget not' the person of the LORD (deut.8:11) . We are to "forget not" HIS benefits (Ps. 103:2), i.e. HIS praise. His benefits are beneficial and manifold. WE are told to please GOD and forget not to do good. But to do good and communicate forget not. To be a blessing to others is to bless ourselves, and we could go on and on. We are to "forget not HIS commandments" (that's practice) Prov. 31:1. To forget HIS word is to ignore our responsibilities and shut ourselves out of a blessing.
GOD doesn't have a vote. HE legislates and we obey HIS laws. We are to vote, eather for GOD or agains't GOD. Which will it be? We have departed from the Bible principles with man's religion and man made laws. We don't need GOD to support the political and the religious. We need men to bow to GODs laws. If they did, all mankind, political and otherwise, would be different.
Our American life has been secularized. Our society has done anything and everything to eliminate GOD from public life. Who did this? Who decided we don't need the Bible anymore. To throw it out of public life! They say we can live our lives as we choose. We've come a long way from our founding fathers. It should be emphasized very clearly that our beloved nation was founded not by religligionst, Politicians, you name it but by "Christians, not a religion, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ" (Patric Henry, governor of Virginia). We've violated GODs commands for the cause of the political and have become Biblically incorrect
and consequently are out of step with GOD. And when we are out of step with GOD . we cannot expect GODs blessing over our Nation.
When are we going to acknowledge that our founding fathers were men who believed in GOD and the bible? They believed the Bible was the word of GOD and Americans ought to be built on it's truths. And this they did. We became a Nation out of the wilderness that might be a light on a hill, shining for the Glory of GOD. What's happened? Today the thought is, "oh, no we dont need all that Bible stuff, etc". Look where it has landed us. We've become victoms of relativism which says, "There is no absolute truth. Truth is relative to it's content. It is relative to it's own experience. I am really god of my life. I will decide what is right and wrong for me." So live the lives of so many of our public leaders, politicians, movie stars, athletes, etc.
Then comes secularism. " If there is not truth, there is no GOD, There is no meaning and purpose in life." Then there is materialism. We all know what that is. It's all about how much stuff we can have. Materalism doesn't make one happier either. with relativism, secularism, materialism, we have the most unhappy and the most discouraged generation that has ever existed. Look at the divorce rate, the depression, suicides, murders, frustrations anger, etc. More then anytime in American History. Why? Because GOD is left out. GOD is forgotten. Ah! Don't forget GOD! It is time we returned to GOD. I see no other way out! We'll never be satisfied with anything less then HIM. WE must pray for spiritual revival within our own blessed land. While morality is at a low ebb, spiritual possibilities are available. "Let us not forget GOD."
